…oooH BETTY by Mark Rose.
i have found myself just skipping around the magazine to sections on the world cup, rider profiles ,The norco Aurum article etc etc.
then while over a coffe i come across Mark’s little one page piece.
which started with people that take the time out to repair or create new lines or path ways leading to other undiscovered routes.
I myself when i hit my local run and see that someone has taken time out to repair a blown out section i silently smile to myself. as i look out my window today im hit with the option of its not the nicest day to ride so do i pack my shovel, flask and sarnies, and leave the wife with 2 screaming kids while i tend to my local that also needs a little love.
its a day to sling some DIRT im guessing.
then the article leades onto the question of can the sport sustain more rounds instead of the seven we have, i would like to think so but then i think of all the independant riders and maybe thier parents that struggle to save and work for the cash for the season ahead of them.
would more rounds not further push these up and coming riders out of the sport?
could not the the powers that be start introducing out side sponsership advertising along the course so that riders that fall into the not so fortunate could atleast get a little help with thie cash flows. one can only hope.
Nice Piece Mr Rose…

sick shot, loving the retro cover, miss the old style ones!
When will any more Dirt T-Shirts be available to buy???!!!!
@Drippihippy When you start up a Facebook page called “Please let us buy Dirt teeshirts and hoodies and cups and caps and stickers”
We need people power to persuade the powers that be to reinstate the merchandise!
Ohh dirt stickers almost retro cool now! Want them on my session!
