2012 Dirt 100: Sunline V-One Bars

Sunline might not yet be offering riser bars that cater for ultra wide tastes, but we reckon these 745mm bars are still plenty wide enough for most people, especially when it comes to trail use, and we had to include them for two reasons.

Firstly the 5×9 degree shape of the risers is a big winner with a lot of us around here, and secondly because the flat version (which at 762mm is wider…because there are no bends) is the only wide flat bar that we’ve ever truly got on with. With a triple butted 7075–T6 construction they also strike a great weight/strength balance, plus the quality of finish is second to none with details like a shot blasted mid section to improve strength and then polished areas at the end to help stop your grips spinning (if you’re not using Lock–On’s). As well as the flat, 19 or 38mm rise options, you also got a choice of five colours.

Really liked my V1 flat bar, hadn’t used a flat bar before so wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but it was a really comfy bar. If anything it was a nicer fit than the renthals on my other bike.

Don’t have them anymore though as some c*nt stole my bike a couple of weeks back…

Shame they’re quitting the MTB game – but while they were available on CRC at discount prices, they were an absolute winner

    Sunline already quit MTB.
Deity make bars that are wider and have the exact same rise/sweep
