Aaron Gwin wins 2012 World Cup overall
Trek World Racing rider Aaron Gwin has won the 2012 World Cup overall with one round left to race!
Someone who is better at maths than me has worked out that Aaron Gwin has done enough with his 5th at Val d’Isere to take the World Cup overall from Greg Minnaar.
Actually you don’t need to be good at maths, Gwin is now 260 points clear of Minnaar with only 250 up for grabs at the final round in Hafjell, Norway.
I’m sure Gwinny would have loved to have taken the overall with a win, but you’ve got to hand it to him that he has dominated this season.

You can’t deny Gwin deserves the overall, just a bit disappointing that it was clinched before the final.
That man earned it.
fair play to Gwinn, painful as it is he has ridden everyone out again. Gee banger could take number 2 slot which would be more than a good turnout considering his year and the change of team etc. World champs it is then – who will be the man? Looks like Danny will lose 5 slot to Sam – gutted for the lad, could Sam actually steal Smith’s place also? Come on Hill get it done!
