Air Voltage : Steve Romaniuk in Chatel France

Steve Romaniuk heads to Chatel in France for episode 3 of the FastFokus series.

Who hasn’t dreamt of shredding with their favorite rider?”

After round one in New Zealand with Kelly McGarry and round 2 in Cedric Gracia’s home town, Andorra, we are in Châtel, one of the most popular MTB resort in Europe, to ride with a Freeride legion : Steve Romaniuk.

But this episode had a bad start : Alexis broke his collarbone during the mountain style training and then Steve crashed and separated his shoulder.

We call this: pas de chance “no luck …”

Fortunately, Steve is strong and after three days he was back on his bike and really motivated to film with us. Sebastian Giraldi and the rest of the guys in the bike patrol, built us a new trail for this episode. With great flow, a 2 person wallride ,doubles, drops and fresh berms everywhere we had everything we needed to make a great episode.

I hope you enjoy this episode and that it will make you wanna go ride.

I would like to say thanks again to Adidas Eyewear, Spank and Shimano France for their support in this adventure, and particularly Scott, Marzocchi and Châtel. Without them this project would have never been possible. All of these partners have the same vision and are as hunger as myself to develop the freeride scene all over the world.

Thanks to Ben Walker for the help and the good times during this week.
Will Walker and John Gibson for the photos.

A big Thanks to you Steve for your kindness and the good times we had.

And Seb Giraldi for this awesome new track.

We are actually in Whistler and making the next episode, so see ya soon everybody !

Cheers
Damien

  2. lovely area and seb is a leg end, his trail building is pretty smart to.

I do have to ask, I tore two rotator cuffs in my sholder and was in tears if i moved it, how can some one can seperate their shoulder and feel it’s cool to get back on after 3, Three!!! days? Total lunatic!!!

  3. He’s a Romaniak Romaniak on the north shore!
And he’s hucking like he’s never hucked before!
    looks great fun!

  4. If you have popped your shoulder a few times before it’s not really a big deal as all the ligaments and muscles are stretched beyond normal range anyway

  5. that gap ladder drop at 5.09 is huge. I was angered by these north americans and their spinning of the poles in table football – don’t they know that’s illegal? Im absolutely livid

  6. Abslolutley bloody brilliant to see Romaniak riding. It feels like forever since I last saw him… good old Drop In TV.

  7. awesome!
