The awesome Deep Summer Photo Challenge went down last night in the open air Olympic Park in Whistler town.
Now in its fourth year the Deep Summer Photo Challenge involves six photographers each with a team of riders and just three sleepless days to weave together their unique take on a Whistler Bike Park themed slide show.
Last hundreds of image hungry fans sat out under the stars with crisps and pop and watched the six mind blowing slide shows on three massive screens.
The crowd soaking up the slideshow magic in the atmospheric open air Olympic Park cinema.
The photographers stepping up to the Deep Summer Photo Challenge for 2012 were photo phenom Reuben Krabbe, Canadian Press staff photographer Jon Hayward, Scott Markewitz, Pinky photo editor Ian Hylands and Whistler freelance photographer Justa Jeskova plus wildcard snapper Mike Zinger.
After watching all six shows the Cranky judges awarded gold to Reuben Krabbe, silver to Scott Markewitz and bronze to Justa Jeskova.
My personal top three of the night were Reuben Krabbe, Mike Zinger and Jon Hayward (which featured a naked Seb Kemp, Dirt Magazine and some blow up dolls!)
Anyway it was an amazing night, props to all the teams and photographers for some stunning imagery…it certainly rammed home the fact that riding bikes is truely AWESOME!
Sit back and enjoy the epicness of Reuben Krabbe!
