Dirt 100 2011: Troy Lee Designs T-Bone Knee Pads
There are other knee pads out there that offer a bit more protection, and there are some that are a little more comfortable, but we can’t think of any others that manage to score so highly in both areas at the same time. Once you’ve made sure you’ve got the right size these will stay put during pretty much any crash, and the side protection, which is so often lacking from knee pads, proves its worth far more than you think it would. As near perfect as design gets, and they last for years too.

went to get a pair until i discovered i don’t have legs like a ten year old boy. i bit on the toit side……gutted, genuinely.
Got a pair of these and my fox ones are a lot comfortable and offer more protection, try ‘em dirt boys!
Theese don`t have hard shell plastic or VPD or foam? Just, some padding thing… ish?
have you guys even worn these? they’re f’n horrible. the most uncomfortable knee pads ever worn, stiff, harsh edges, undersized and no movement at all! the worst. wow. awesome to see they made the coveted “100″.
I do wear these. Granted they are not that comfortable and the large come up tight even on my spindly pins (better worn in and with a bit of modification). The range of movement though is ok (alright for 2-3 hr ride if it isn’t swealteringly hot), they are a lot tougher than most things Troy Lee and more importantly they really do stay in place unlike my old fox 911 jobbies.
Agreed though with the amount of new competition in rider protection I’m a little suprised they made it in.
