Dirt 100 2011: TSG Superlight
TSG’s Superlight is another product that after being the first of its kind has managed to remain the best. It took the traditionally weighty piss pot, mixed it with a big dose of XC helmet technology, and came up with a helmet that lives up to its name by weighing in at just 300g. Of course you still get the same kind of protection and styling that a regular piss pot gives you, just with less weight, and that’s the simple beauty of this lid.

Have a regular one, and that’s exactly what a helmet shoud be: Super comfy and good looking so apart from protection, you wear it because you love it!
I wear the superlight for xc/general hacking and love it, not a big fan of the trail style lids and feel better protected in a pisspot.
Does it have an outer shell it looks like it doesnt.
Andy, the shell is “in moulded” like an XC/trail lid, rather than being some 3mm thick plastic shell stuck to the polystyrene with glue, a la the majority of piss pot lids. It just looks like it doesn’t have a shell because it’s a clear plastic. Bell do a very similar model for a few quid cheaper.
I’ve not ridden with a Superlight on, but even just trying one on it’s remarkable how much weight has been lost on your head compared to a run of the mill potty.
