“I want a big proper launch for Edition 4″ cried Dirt Ed Mike Rose, “use a Canon 1D to take the photos and maybe frame each page on the wall surrounded by some special Dirt 100 bunting” he went on.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a Canon 1D in this office and I’m off out the door to buy some dry lube. But I did manage to grab some shots with my phone before knocking my tea all over the latest Dirt 100.
There’s more to come but for now here’s a few snap shots from the only product guide you’ll ever need. Until next year.
*my poor skills as a photographer coupled with an out of date android phone and mild beer tremors have not done this beautifully crafted mag justice so go buy the real thing for a proper treat for your eyes.

November 15th, 2011 at 11:42 pm
100 adverts that you have to pay for!? and inbetween the adverts…..adverts. Sweet!
November 16th, 2011 at 12:24 am
Really enjoyed this last year, when’s it coming through my letterbox?
November 16th, 2011 at 12:58 am
Have you ridden the Kona? You’d be surprised how good the frame works plus you can’t find many other entry level completes at that price.
November 16th, 2011 at 8:19 am
It’s not adverts with adverts in between.
It’s the considered opinion of the staff at Dirt, whose job it is to both test and review the products on which we spend our hard earned cash, as to which of the myriad of products available have given the best performance, sometimes cost performance and sometimes where cash has to be no object, and may I say, to the likes of us here in Japan who have precious few demo days to choose from, it is worth it’s weight in gold.

The mag is indeed a bit late due to Dirt’s designer Jon getting owned by a taxi. You’ll all be pleased to hear that he’s making a good recovery and should be back on his bike in a few weeks.
November 16th, 2011 at 9:09 am
Yo Dave. Wake up son! 80% of it is rehashed tests from the mags, from online, and the same old press releases.
Always been a bit of a joke this issue in my eyes, should save the money for real, more regular reviews in the mag, or better local race coverage.
Also… did they get the London 2012 designers in for the front cover???
November 16th, 2011 at 9:54 am
Crazy as it sounds you dont have to purchase this issue.
I will as I like looking at cool bike stuff and the dirt 100 will be packed with said cool bike stuff
November 16th, 2011 at 10:15 am
the classic comeback of the ‘opt out’ option is pointless.
don’t like a vid – don’t watch it.
don’t like a mag concept – don’t buy it.
brilliant. let’s never have negative feedback on an item ever again. lets fill the internet full of stuff that people don’t like, but aren’t allowed to comment on…
November 16th, 2011 at 10:30 am
same old stuff from whinger. hows your missus? pissed off with your moaning yet?
November 16th, 2011 at 11:02 am
Good solid bike porn love it. Can’t wait until mine pops through the letterbox. thanks Dirt.
November 16th, 2011 at 11:50 am
When did you test the operator?
November 16th, 2011 at 12:00 pm
Post’s just been here, no Dirt 100. Gutted. Have they been sent out to subscribers yet Billy?
November 16th, 2011 at 12:02 pm
Was featured in “First Look” in issue 111. Double page spread too.
November 16th, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Yo whinger!
You whinge while I get a lovely cup of cocoa and my slippers and smoking jacket and curl up in my settle and peruse the Dirt 100….bliss!
Thanks Dirt! Can’t wait! Keep on doing a great job for those of us who don’t have the chance to try much stuff out.

ya likes it! ya dont likes it! ya get it. ya dont get it.
Droll.
same again next year?
November 16th, 2011 at 2:11 pm
Ha ha loving the comment about it being the marmite edition of dirt.
I love it and was worrying that my subscription had run out or that it was lost in the post etc. Glad I can calm down now. Really can’t wait for this one!!
November 16th, 2011 at 4:14 pm
There was a slight production delay on the Dirt 100 this time. Sorry if you are waiting for it. It was meant to be on sale on Nov 10th but that has had to moved to Nov 22nd. But subscribers should get their copies a bit earlier than that date (just like a normal copy of the mag).
Mike.

Essential toilet seat bike porn
November 16th, 2011 at 6:51 pm
Not a big fan, think there are plenty of product reviews in the mag normally. At any rate they’d better not wheel out (‘scuse the pun) the 224 for the umpteenth time
November 18th, 2011 at 12:11 pm
Has anyone else’s arrived yet? My Dirt usually comes a day or two early rather than late.
November 18th, 2011 at 1:10 pm

November 18th, 2011 at 4:42 pm

Looking forward to this!
November 18th, 2011 at 8:04 pm
Yes! My 2nd dose of bike porn this month arrived today. Always look forward to this issue. So much more honest and frank reviews compared to your rival publications. Even if all I do is dream up my fantasy all mountain bike build!

November 19th, 2011 at 6:28 pm

November 21st, 2011 at 12:16 pm
was a good read for a few hours and possibly a couple of inspirational buys, thanks Dirt. Interesting to see which products did not make it in this year. No fOX 40′s for example is the 1st that springs to mind, hmmmmmmm. I know they get slated for reliability but mine have been absolutely bombproof for 2 years and certainly dont get the card they should…i am probabaly unique in this case.

November 24th, 2011 at 9:34 am
@Duir, back room boffs are just sticking the Dirt 100 links to buy online up now-ish…so keep an eye out.
