I agree with Jim. I think he has huge potential and 10th at PMB is great for him but he had a stinker of season last year. Needs to get a little more serious and i reckon he could podium. Hopefully he’ll keep up there as top 10 (per PMB) is shit hot but surely SCS will want some big results this year from him as he isnt exactly selling V10s in the same way minaar, peaty or gracia does.
Bollocks does he not sell bikes! 80% of bikers are out there to have fun and this guy has that attribute in abundance plus he has bags of style to boot. This isn’t football love.
Interview of the year
There’s no harm in seeing him have fun, without that whats the point. You could almost liken Josh to Adam Brayton, both a similar age, both love stuffing about, but one can interview and make it entertaining, the other cant.
But when you stack up the results, Josh is a pretty good rider, it aint easy getting a 10th at PMB!
Brilliant, it’s nice to see riders having a laugh. If you take the fun out of it whats the point!

How am I gonna defend this against my girlfriend’s criticisms towards Bryce le nice?
At the end of the day, The guy can ride a bike. We’ve all seen those cheeky, mental lines he took on the 1:04. And he does have the potential to podium regularly, maybe he needs to do less drifting and welding diffs, but if that’s how he lets off steam so be it!!
As far as not stringing sentences together at least Josh has some on screen presence and is obviously having a bit of fun. Would you rather see an interview with Sam Hill mumbling in that lovely flat tone of his. (Although to be fair with Sam his riding does all his talking!!)
Maybe some big subtitles for those who can’t understand his northern slur about roundabouts!!
He rides world cups, rides for SCS and has made me laugh this morning watching this interview… Enough said!
Let’s clear a few things up.
One: The kid is not from Manchester, he’s from Poynton, which is in Cheshire. Much as he’d like you to think he’s a rough northern type, with Gallagher drawl and penchant for roundabouts, he’s borderline posh boy.
Two, @Krissboo: There’s a lot more to being a pro-bike rider than being able to ride a bike.
Three: Mullets are NOT cool
Four: Driving like a twunt around roundabouts is not cool when take someone else out, even less cool when you kill them. Maybe, just maybe, he only kills himself. He wouldn’t be the first kid from Poynton dickhead to do that (but then there’s one less dickhead on the road to worry about.) But then maybe he kills someone else, and again, he wouldn’t be the first Poynton dickhead to do that either.

The question on my mind of late is ” What do SCS see in him?” personally I wouldn’t want him as a team rider, he isn’t a good representative for the company/brand, he’s not a highly successful rider at present so why employ him?.
In my humble opinion he has been carried by Steve Peats success with SCS: right place – right time etc etc.
As for his Dirt narratives; If he wants to tell people about drifting cars and hookey TV’s then use Facebook so only people who care read about it.
He probably is a great character to be around, but he should realise that he is a paid professional, at the fore front of a growing sport, and no matter what you do for a living, if you are not producing the goods, or representing your company in a way favourable to making them money, then you are worthless.
Glory at any level, and all the perks what ever they may be, are earned through hard work and over time, not inherited, then and only then can you be respected by the public and peers.

Two things that piss me off are people that badge others as haters and the old everyone south of birmingham doesnt get it or where ever shit.
I think it would do Miami good to move away from SCS to someone like GT or Trek and get a different view on racing. They seem to run quite different set ups to SCS and may bring an alternate view for him.
Having said all this he’ll probably now go and top 5 at Fort Bill and i’ll be made up for him as he seems a nice lad and we all know how much it means to him, you only got to see his reaction at Junior World Champs at Fort Bill.
ONE THING that pisses me off is people giving other people life and career advice on a forum.
