DirtTV:Day One Pit Chat from Leogang

It’s day one in Legoland, Leo-Gangster, Leo-Sayer-Land or just plain Leogang. It’s a new venue on the World Cup tour although the track has been raced on for a few years by the ixs cup which Nick Beer has done well at so maybe he could be one to watch.

Here’s some of the riders thoughts and feelings about the Leogang track, oh and it’s Steve Peat’s Birthday today, so happy Birthday Peaty.

  1. happy birthday mr peat

  2. Happy birthday peaty!
Greg is telling it like it is, some bits are dangerous there. Especially the jumps may be a little bit to short for the top riders. You can overjump all of them as an intermediate rider…easely. It will rain anyways so the track will be slower and especially on the long straight pedaling section it needs to be wet, otherwise you will drift away in every corner on that f***ing gravel stuff. Watch out for the 90 deg corner after the rooty straight in the middle – that will be one of “the” sections when its wet.
But hey – they have a contract for the next three years so there is the possibility to improve for next time.

  3. Well I’m sure this is great, but once again I’m just getting an eternal “Please wait..” message :(

  4. What /\he/\ said….

  5. OK, working now. Tell you what I’d like to see – some different faces on the camera. Don’t just interview the quickest guys, go and chat to some of the “lesser” brits too, give them a bit of exposure!

  6. I hear what you’re saying AC, but it usually is a case of who is around the main pit area at the time, tracking down some of the lesser Brits can mean a wild goose chase around the campsites sometimes. But I’ll see what I can do tommorrow for you.

  7. Nice one Billy :) Jack Reading for one maybe – he would have had an amazing time for his first ever WC at Maribor if he’d not blown out the very last corner. He had to miss Fort William for exams so I’m sure he’s going to be hungry for Leogang!

  8. I’ll put Jack Reading top of my list then, any other Brits people want to see? Maybe I’ll do a Lesser Known Brit Special.
(But have been having heaps of computer trouble so may not get any videos at all, fingers crossed the old PC will behave herself)

  9. @chris:
the jumps on the freeride part wich is part of the worldcup-track arent to short.
you just have 3 “long” (think not to short) tables after the first woods, after 90°right turn there are 3 mini dubles/tables wich you can land in the flat without problems. then the “bridge” is coming wich has the right leangh for a wc jump.
and there are only 2 corners on the freeride part(one nice berm, one flat one), no pros!

“Watch out for the 90 deg corner after the rooty straight in the middle”
    which one do you mean?

sorry for my bad english, wasnt that good in english at school ;)
i´m looking forward for my first worldcup, will defenetly be a nice experience! =)
