DTV Summer Series round 3 Forest Of Dean
A quick heads up to remind you about the upcoming DTV race at the Forest of Dean on Sunday 2nd September.
The Dean Trail Volunteers are the magic trail pixies in the Forest Of Dean who not only keep all the downhill tracks running sweet but build new tracks and trails too.
All the profits from this race go to help the DTV build and maintain the FOD trails so the more people who enter this race the more you’re helping to sustain the trails.
The race will be on the new (yet to be finished) black run, with all the usual categories, entry is £25 and the timing by MIJ events.

If you’ve got any questions then hit the guys up on the Dean Trail Volunteers FaceBook page or via the dtvfod.co.uk website.

Will they get the track finished more to the point
way to support guys….
No problems with timing last time I was there, Mij guys organise some of the best races in the UK, if you could do a better job then you try running a race series!
Well Jess I raced the winter races at FoD and they are very well organised and those guys don’t have a problem with timing.
I wont be racing any MIJ races again going to save my money for the 661 Mini Downhills in the winter.
Jonny
You are getting your races mixed up you must be thinking of the Enduro 1 which was nothing to do with MIJ or DTV
MIJ/DTV Races are run with the same Timing equipment as 661 Mini Downhill laser/Laptops not some dude sat in a car with a stopwatch so check your facts before you slag off as comments like yours can do a lot of damage and are FALSE PS: thanks Jess
Leon
Yes I, DTV will get the track finished in time hopefully a few weeks before I will give everyone the heads up as soon as it is open
Gotta say a big props to the DTV volenteers for the workt they have done , really really impressed with what they have done there , they have shifted some HUGE amounts of dirt by hand so fair play to them.
Went there sunday and had an awesome day , nearly died in the heat sessioning the bottom jump lines though , well worth it.
Only thing is I don’t think it’s going to handle the traffic of the race day though , depending on which bits they race.
Also did anyone riding there sunday notice the MTB celebrity that was there ?
Shamus March ! Could not belive it , i think most people there were to young to know who he is , he had nothing but good things to say about the track so be proud DTV>
As a very proud DTV member i am still shocked that the race has not sold out yet!! This track is out of this world and im seeing alot of happy DHers. As for timing etc its spot on MIJ are top guys as well as very professional at what they do.
I have read this somewhere else and i would like to point out about the timing equipment,
yes we both Nakdracing & MIJ use Tag Huer timing equipment but that’s also like saying we both ride a Trek bike there are different specifications and set ups and they are not like for like systems.
Nakedracing has spent a substantial amount of money investing in the latest professional equipment to give you instant live timing and results at the finish line/live webcast/smartphone/print.
So yes same make of equipment but professional model and specifications.
