Fresh Produce: 2013 Nukeproof Mega AM
The superbly capable Nukeproof Mega gets updated for 2013. Travel goes up from 150mm to 160mm, a new T6 6061 hydroformed tube set gives the beast a sleek new look and weight is down from last year.
The nicely slack 66º head angle remains the same as the 2012 Mega, but the seat angle is slackened off and the front centre is slightly longer and a Reverb Stealth keeps the cabling nice and neat.
There will be two builds available, a Pro version with a Cane Creek Double Barrel and the Comp, with the Monarch Plus.
The bike we have here is the Pro but the production Pro bike will have a CCDB air rather than the Monarch Plus.
Will bring you more news soon!

Good to see Nukeproof stepping it up this year, just wish I had the money to buy one!!
What about weights? Curious on the frame weight. – really
Looks goooooood!
can you fit a bottle cage on those 2 bottom bolt on hose guides?
I know what my next bike will be!
Ugly graphics that’ll look really dated when CRC are discounting them!
brilliant bikes but i still really wish they weren’t called ‘nukeproof’. that’s a dumbass name
Frame weight?
Does the new photo viewer compress the pics for anyone else? They look squashed horizontally on my computer.
Don’t know if it’s down to the seat angle, but the current one climbs better than many xc bikes I’ve ridden. I hope the slackening the seat angle doesn’t affect this ability.
agree 100%. climbs better than the pitch pro i had previously.
but descends twice as good.
I’d agree, I didn’t wait until this new one because the trail one is too short travel for me and this new one is too long travel with a slacker seatpost which will definite make it not as fun a bike.
Agree 100% NP had the perfect bike then blew it. I was gonna buy the mega now I’ll stick with my Giant VT or later this year buy a HECKLER…….
Love the paint job and the overall look. But slightly disappointed at the price, over 3000euro for the entry level bike which has x7 and no dropper post, despite the amount of Nukeproof components… I had hoped they would stay bargain price for longer, but they must have had a high demand.
just wait till next august and pick one up for 40% off on CRC, problem solved!
Well it’s looks have improved a lot over the current one, the whole front looks a lot more in proportion now.
However the graphics look hideous. Raw will be the choice and peel them off I guess.
Only question is, frame price & weight? The old frame was a bit of a porker…
