Leogang World Cup Finals: Victor's 7-a-day

Jill Kintner almost had the race in her handbag today, she had the fastest first split by almost 1 second and then crashed further down. We have 4 journalists here trying to remember/calculate how much quicker she was than the rider in the hotseat, but the late hour, lack of sleep and beer means we are unable to come up with an answer!

Tracy Moseley put in a steady run today on a track where some people paid the price for the risks they took. She adds another 170 eurocredits to her overall points lead, a solid 100 ahead of Floriane.

Rachel Atherton added to the Atherton collection of 2nd places today. She must be happy to have beaten this track with a solid race run, but the points race is getting further away for her. We'll have to see how the second half of her season goes.

Floriane Pugin finally made it to the top of the podium today, absolutely incredible for her. Interesting to see that her split times were not the fastest but she had a clean consistent run and took 3 seconds out of the competition in the last section. Claudio Calouri tells us about it…

Greg Minnaar had some troubles in qualies but he strung together a decent race run with a storming last section to end up 3rd and meaning he had to give up the leaders jersey to Gwin. Pressure pressure for Mont St anne. Looks like this season will be exciting for a while yet.

Gee Atherton had a fairly good day to end up 2nd, as he said "I'm as happy as I could be, really" but you know that really means he was gutted about not winning. The battle is truly on now with Gwinny edgeing ahead of Greg and Gee in the overall.

Late night beer-talk round here these days is about how Aaron Gwin has stepped it up to those who stepped it up before him. His confidence, determination and rapid rise to success has left the competition scratching their heads. Truly amazing stuff, but its still early days and it will be interesting to see if people can come up with some answers.

Last but not least, we have this weeks mystery rider. I was going to make it black and white, but to be honest, I have absolutely no idea who this is and I thought that would be too difficult a guess.
