You know those amazing downslopes you’ve spotted around town and just wished for a kicker? What you need is a mobile urban ramp!

Marius Hoppensack and Jan Fassbender came up with the great idea to knock up a wooden booter and document some amazing urban spots.

I often ride through the city or countryside and see un-countable landings and nice spots for riding. Stairs or streetgabs in the city, freeride stuff in the mountains, stuff at farms, ruins or highways or just some dirt. Sometimes all you need to do is dig a kicker and shape it a bit to have a perfect landing. Mostly I just pass by and try not to think about the pictures which could have been taken at these jumps, knowing I wouldn’t be able to build a kicker on some of these spots.

But one time I got the idea of building a portable ramp. Simply screw it together in no time and give it some wheels to get it from the car to the spot, it would be awesome.

So I started building and after two days I had a nice ramp, which more or less fitted into my car. After contacting a friend Jan Fassbender – he is photographer and he likes to shoot at extraordinarily spots. The story was born.

But anyway: We hardly needed to drive far because we saw spots everywhere. You could jump off a roof, a step down on to a lawn bank, build a wooden or dirt landing with something which was already at the spot and the rest you can imagine.

We drove around, built spots and met people, showing them what was possible with a bike and the right spots. It was and still is a nice thing to have and in the end, mountainbiking can be done everywhere and anywhere, in the city, skatepark, dirt, mountains, and everywhere in between.
