  15. He likes thumping trails and people! Rennie is a legend!

  16. Says in the release there he’s racing the Aussie National series. I guess its a see how that goes before we can expect to see him back on the WC?

  17. Great news massive fan of Rennie

  18. Hopefully Rennie’s comeback is as good as Sick Mick’s was in 09! Go Rennie!

  19. By all accounts he’s been killing it back home. One things for sure, he can sure get some sponsorship.

  20. I read an interview in Revolution Mag from Aus that basically said his old Morewood team was a joke, didn’t sort out his bike or paying him properly and really killed his motivation along with injuries he got that year. He wants to get into coaching when he’s done with downhill, at the time he wasn’t sure about a comeback but here he is, awesome. Bringing back disgusting facial hair and breaking cassettes with leg power to the world cup circuit!

  21. Good to se nathan back… i remember the first time i saw him…in maribor few years back…i ran into him just by the beer stand… super cool guy and super cool rider…hope to see him on the world cups

  22. Yea!!!

  23. Cool!! This should make the WC a bit more fun. More competition means better racing means more action for us viewers.:D

Feel sorry for that 951! It’s going to feel like its been to pool party round at Barrymore’s!

  25. Great to see Rennie back racing and looking a bit lighter, even if it is just for the Aussie Nationals. Hopefully will be on the WCs the year after if all goes well?

  26. well it’s coming to summer over there soon, so I suppose that by the time our season rolls round across Europe he will be up for the WC season if uninjured and probably also the British nationals, i raced him @ a few (well, I say raced, i mean got beat) so hopefully we see him back on our ground!!!!

just hope he performs!! sure he will though.

  27. About bloody time…

  28. that is ace new,s.you have got to luv Rennie.it will be good to see him back at world cups, and the ground rearly does shake when he goes past….

  29. Yaaayy!

Let’s hope his head’s in the right place now, 2008/9 must have been a little painful for the big man.

wooo a line and a half by rennie!

  31. STOKED!!! LOVE YOU RENNIE

  32. I met Nathan @ Fort Bill 2009 after a pretty disappointing quali run! Looking back I shouldn’t have bothered him as he was well pissed off but like any decent bloke he signed my program and spoke about having a mare of a season and generally being fed up ! I’m so glad to hear he is getting back on a bike, maybe someone should give him a factory ride for the 2011 Wc season!

  33. Official words from Australia was that Rennie’s been busy building a house with his girlfriend after a hugely disappointing season with Morewood due to long history of injuries which required time to heal. There were insights from Rennie that he may become a coach aka Scott Sharples but no words to confrim if that eventuated or not. I ran into Mick Hannah during Crankworks and he wasn’t able to comment on Rennie’s progress of becoming an Australian team coach either. My view is that Rennie’s been playing smart and mapping out his future, settling down with a proper home while he’s still got some money (houses are outrageously expensive in Oz) and time to let long term injuries to heal, before focussing on a come back, instead of hanging in World Cup scene getting nowhere financially and falling down the rankings. I for one really look forward to seeing the big fella bulldozing his way down hillside again.

  34. Nice One Renoir!! Pin it. Good Luck next season.

  35. YES!! Thank God Rennie’s comin’ back…hopefully he will like the bike, and the team, and he will get the results we all know he’s capable of!!!

  36. dam! im happy hes back! his my one of my best rider ever!

  37. Glad to see Rennie back, awesome rider and he is gonna kick some ass this season, GO RENNIE!!
