Maxxis Rocky Mountain rider Sabrina Jonnier takes the win in a rain hit Leogang as Rachel Atherton crashes out.
As Jonnier sat in the hot seat with a time of 4:52.70, 3.54s up on Ragot and 5.35s on Pugin, all eyes were on the big screen waiting for fastest qualifier Rachel Atherton to pass the second split point. The clock ticked away and ticked away some more it became clear that Atherton had gone down and wasn’t getting up.
We don’t know if she’s hurt at this stage but will bring you news when we get it.
Tracy Moseley made a mistake on the lower section which cost her time, she was 2nd after split two, and slipped to 4th place. Junior rider Manon Carpenter had another great ride to take 8th place, series overall must surely nearly be hers for the taking by now.
It probably wasn’t the way Jonnier wanted a win but this means she retains the leaders jersey with 650 points, Floriane Pugin moves into second with 510 and Rachel Atherton slips back to 3rd with 460points.

They said on Freecaster that she had damaged / popped her shoulder out – her bad shoulder at that.

Team Boss Dan Brown also mentioned a shoulder injury.
