If only Aaron Gwin thanked Science instead of God. But us Americans tend to always turn to religion for an answer…. But I love the man anywho and hes fast either way and an awesome guy hope he wins come sunday!

jpee – science is why he is going so damn fast, physics, biology and some chemistry are all involved pal. I am more interested to know who the guy behind Sam is.
@jpee, the guy behind Sam is Mitch Ropelato. He is standing in for Troy Brosnan for the next few races.
Belief in god has been shown to help improve performance of athletes from a sports physcology viewpoint. It helps alleviate mental nerves and pressure. Well that’s what I read anyway and some studies were quoted to back it up.
Just to clarify, not that gods helping the athlete but the belief in god is helping the athlete to release pressure and tension.
God is in control, his plans are in motion. No reason why God wouldn’t be behind Gwin’s success. There isnt too many downhillers out there that proclaim their faith. I know Mick Hannah is another. (See earthed 2) Its pretty cool I think. If science is helping Gwin, why he more so than all the others?
