The temperature dropped on Friday night and so in the morning we even got a bit of snow on the mountains surrounding us.
Steve Smith was already looking pretty pinned the whole week so no wonder he came down with a top time in second today.
Steve´s teammate Nick Beer wasn´t holding back either putting down the 6th fastest time.
Loic Bruni took the top spot in the timed session of the Junior category and will be looking to repeat that on Sunday as well.
Fraser McClone had a great run in the timed session, ending up third fastest in the Juniors.
Fastest Austrian rider Markus Pekoll finished the timed session in 10th.
We didn´t have any more rain on Saturday, but it was still pretty wet out there. Greg Minnaar 1.3 seconds off in third.
You never know how much everyone is really pushing or holding back in those timed sessions. Aaron Gwin in 4th 2.1 seconds down on Hannah.
Tough luck. After scoring the fastest time in 4x qualifying and winning every run in the prelims David Graf went down together with Tomas Slavik just about 10 metres out of the gate in finals.
After ending up with Silver in 2006, 2008 and 2011, Roger Rinderknecht finally gets a golden one.
