Regarding your question about the “legal recognition” of a course from outside the EU/UK. Think of it like a degree. In most occupations, it is not legally required for someone to have a degree. Employers choose employees based on their skills. One way employees differentiate themselves is through their education.

In mountain bike coaching, there is no legally required license such as a doctor, lawyer, or stockbroker. The legal requirements come in the form of required insurance coverage. This program is relevant in the UK as it is offered by IMBA UK and includes the required coaching insurance. We feel this is one benefit over the plethora of available courses in the UK.
