Double backflips and cliffhangers with Basagoitia and Visser.
Paul Basagoitia sends a double backflip and James Visser lands a backflip cliffhanger!
These airborne gymnasts never cease to amaze me with what’s possible once your wheels leave terra ferma.
Here’s Paul B and James V doing some insane bicycle stuntage.
Paul Basagoitia landing a huge double flip in Southern Utah. Bas reckons it’s the first “natural terrain” double flip but some say the booter looks a bit manicured. None the less it’s bloody impressive!
I know this isn’t necessarily a new trick but it still blows my mind when ever I see it. James Visser lands the Cliffhanger Flip.

nah…call bullshit hype on the first. Yeah it’s a legit double flip, but since when does natural terrain include handbuilt lips? Nice marketing ploy ‘first ever blah blah blah’
That Cliffhanger thing is nuts, even if it’s unlikely that he rode it out…
Sweet
Reminds me of the NWD sections that showed Bender learning to Flip, and a later one where Bourden is learning a new trick (flip/360??) straight to dirt.
There’s far to many people out there claiming they can do these things only to learnt hat it’s in a foam pit.
I wish I could do them in a Foam pit, let alone on to dirt.
First double back on a 29er. Heard they flip faster than a 26er and smooth out the turbulance in the air due to the bigger wheels.
So I take it other guys were doing double flips off man made textiles manufactured in a lab?
Get a grip, “Natural” my arse.
Impressive but not the first, renaming the wheel there.
Cliffhanger flip is amazing but its not “natural” so I guess Bas will claim that one too in a couple of years.
@Carl, I kind of think it was Teva that was claiming “first”, not Bas…
err, nevermind..stupid post was stupid…had not watched the entire video through
