i know the men are more exciting to watch, but why can we no longer watch all of the womens? didnt even get a look at Raggots run today!
Anyone else who found the camera positions absolutely senseless??? Such a great track and all got were the nearly paved sections at the bottom of the track. First time ever that I slept away in the men Top20… :/
I had the same cutouts. Absolutely crap! Was the same for me during Val Di Sole. Bring freecaster streaming…
I’d have to agree with alterego on this one, I thought the camera positions were poor too. I thought we were supposed to have more cameras with Red Bull’s involvement than in the old Freecaster days? Didn’t see much evidence of that yesterday. The whole thing just seemed a bit below par to me on my sofa, which is a shame as having been up to watch myself in the past I know what a great race it is.
Sort it out Dirt. Simply can’t watch this as it cut out so often.

Must say that broadcasts now that Red Bull are doing are boring, nothing like when Freecaster had them!! Worner seems like he’s crippled, probably because he cant comment as he wants. And just top 30 riders.. Really not good!
Ps: i really expected more from the all mighty Red Bull.

Lamest coverage ever. All they’ve shown was the boring motorway, where nothing happened, and a lot of hot seat, and crowds, and weather. Surely that’s not the way to bring new fans to the sport, it was so boring, like alterego says – I almost fell asleep
Anyone knows why on earth they placed all of the cameras on the bottom section and none at the really interesting parts of the track? Is there an explanation for that?
Really disappointing coverage. one of the best tracks, with so much that the rider has to deal with, and we saw very little of it. doesn’t do credit to the riders, who put so much effort in. somebody must be answerable for this.
also doesnt do credit to all the organisation that goes into this sort of event.
Every year, Freecaster or not, Red Bull or not, the same chat…
This is free. Buying a RedBull won’t cut it.
If all this showed was the start hut and the finishing drop-to-grandstand, I’d be chuffed.
Another incredible weekend in the Fort. Last week’s little cable-cam at Val Di Sole was a stroke of genius and I quite like it’s use here too.
However you rate this live stuff, we get Parkin Bros, TriRide and all the photographers for free as well.
I’m sure i’ll get to post this next year too.

Wasn’t worth watching.
The worst coverage I’ve seen from freecaster or Redbull.
Cunny and Rob exempted of course.
The RedBull coverage definitely falls short of the Freecaster coverage. There’s none of the build up videos like the course walks and the race coverage seems to involve less cameras, not more as promised, and there seems to be a move towards seeming really professional, with even Rob being a bit subdued. Still great to get this much coverage and all the stuff provided by DIRT and the teams is top notch.
