The Avalanche Cup in Oz en Oisans will take place on the permanent downhill track well known for its difficulties: its strong declivity (-600 m) first but also built on the rocks which means good technical skills are required. About 400 riders from different nationalities will do their very best during the first two stages to be in the top 50 and take part of the Super cup.

  1. Amazing to see that Brits almost make up the majority of riders.

  2. Damn, bummed I am missing this this season, hopefully next year!

  3. Haha Pagey, of all the riders in CRC I’d have thought Kovarik would be the one misbhehaving, not the flipping manager.

  4. [...] Qualifying for the Megavalanche is on Friday with the biggie race on Sunday …  Details [...]

  5. Had to pull out this year, had an awesome time out there last year though. Seeing the fast riders on the avalanche cup track coming down the switchbacks into oz was something else!

  6. Good to see Barel back in action!

  7. That video of from 2009.
Am pretty sure Barel’s not fit yet.
Have seen pretty much everyone else on the course except him.
