The ultimate classic vid! Brings back all the memories of hanging out and riding with the Plymouth crew in the late 90′s and filming with Alex and Milan! Any of you Plymouth guys ever read this?!
how much acid?
this is a bit gay now.. if iam honest, weird setups & big no foots are not cool.. the sections in the later films are the ones, y’get me
Interesting to see a carbon dh bike as far back as the 90′s. Will Giant make another? My hopes are on a carbon ATX with maestro linkage. Mmmmmmm…
hold up. shaun butler, s&m, over the doubles.. thats more like it
Helmets what the fuck are they . We are MEN
whatever happened to Jerry Dyer?
Ah, the good ole’ days of mountain biking.
Looks like only me and you on here Tim…
….When even the pros rode with two fingers on the brakes
Bought this when it was released at Bike ’96…oh jeez! Was mind blowing compared to everything else back then. Hope he uploads 2 & 3 as they’re still awesome, even by todays standards. No shitey cheesy tunes, no super slow-mo crotch shots…Clay Porter take note!
Look AT THE TIME….. Rob Warner and Steve Peat National Champs

Ha! I forgot what the sport used to be like. Im loving it, but cringing at the same time
don’t think you bought this at bike 96 mate
When was it, ’97? Was at one of the bike shows…
ignore that last comment, haha
Well funny, oh how times change. Still f**kin ace though!!!
Wow, not seen that for a while! Cheers Alex, for posting it and putting the Nicolai section as the start!
@Nicolai Joe, is that Joe Finney?
so pumped to go to the bmx track right now with a baseball cap instead of a helmet to do a one hander!!!!
yep thats me, who is that?
2nd, Wassup with Jerry Dyer? He pretty much rebranded Dh didn’t he? Bit of a bold statement maybe, someone feel free to shoot me down with facts.
‘Keith is 30 and still rides hard’. Ha! that seemed old to be riding like that at the time. Well into my 30′s now like most of that generation…
Tim – rich and Russ are still in Plymouth, think Dave hazel is too. No idea what happened to jay and last I heard Callum was inside.
Thanks again Dirt. I only started six or so years ago and I really get inspired seeing how fast these guys were going back then and how they were pushing their bikes and equipment.
Another thanks go out to everyone at Dirt that keep this company going and bringing us everything DH related. Getting on Dirt multiple times a day and seeing new articles every couple of hours is awesome!!!!!!
