billy can you get some info on how brosnan has done his plate and how do all the pro riders make there holes so neat what is the technique cos i always muller mine with scissors and can never get a perfect hole.

thought about the step bit just means taking a drill to races etc but if i want it to look right i suppose i’ll have to

a step bit is not really neccesary, a 12 or 14 mm drill at a moderate drilling speed will do the job too.
Your bikes must be running so sweet if you have time/effort to worry about how neat the hole in your number board is. Go and get some more runs in or have a big poo. That’ll be time better spent and probably make you go faster than a nice hole, although actually, I do like a nice hole – neatly trimmed.
